Starcheckin is the legal owner, operator and manager of the Website providing the services / functionalities being used by User and hence all the rights, benefits, liabilities & obligations under the following terms & conditions shall accrue to the benefit of 'Starcheckin'.
Use of the Website is offered to you conditioned on acceptance without modification of all the terms, conditions and notices contained in these Terms, along with any amendments made by Starcheckin at its sole discretion and posted on the Website. Starcheckin reserves the right to decline a User from registering on the Website or to terminate a User’s registration to use the Website and Functionalities at any time without assigning any reason thereof.
Website is a platform bringing together companies / individuals seeking content on specific brands / topics (hereinafter referred to as “Brand”) and reviewer / individuals willing to provide content on brands / topics as sought by the company / individual (hereinafter referred to as “reviewer”). Article 1 Consent to collection of personal information data
The user selecting, “I agree to the terms and conditions of the Policy on Processing of Personal Information” will be understood by the company as agreeing to the collection of personal information.
Article 2 Purpose of collection of personal information/purpose of use
'Personal Information' is information or data about an identified or identifiable individual, such as e-mail, etc. (even when it is difficult to identify the individual through one piece of information, when combined with other pieces of information, the individual is identifiable).
The company does not disclose the user’s information without prior consent, and uses the collected information for the following purposes:

Article 3 Personal information items and collection method
The company collects essential information online when the member registers for the services. The company requests name, e-mail address, residential address, cell phone number, etc. In conducting a survey/event, the company may request other information for data analysis and provision of free goods. However, sensitive information of the member such as (race/ethnic group, thought/principles, place of birth/legal domicile, political inclination, criminal record, health status, sexual activity, etc.) and where unavoidable, the company shall obtain permission of the user. In any case, the collected information of the users will not be used for purposes other than the ones disclosed to a third party. Clients that publish advertisement or websites that are linked in various directories may collect personal information that helps to identify the member as a particular individual. Please note that when these websites collect personal information about the members, this policy on Processing of Personal Information shall not apply.
Article 4 Personal information retention and use period
The company shall constantly maintain and make use of the personal information of users for provision of services, during the term when the user is using the services provided for by the company. However, pursuant to the methods/procedure outlined in Article 6 (User’s personal information management (reading/correcting/deleting, etc. )), if the user deletes the information or requests termination of registration or corrects certain information, the information will be deleted from the disc completely through methods that do not allow regeneration, and shall become unusable.
The information the user enters will be destroyed after the purposes are achieved. However, the e-mail address may be stored for a year after termination of registration of membership in order to prevent inadequate use of delinquent member. Where it is necessary to retain the information pursuant to Commercial Code and other law/regulations regarding consumer protection, such as in e-transactions, then the information will be retained for a certain period of time. In this case, the information shall only be used for the purposes of retaining the information and the retention periods are as follows:
Agreement/cooling off, etc: 5 years
Payment/supply of goods: 5 years
Consumer complaint/dispute resolution: 3 years
Record of service visit: 3 months
The company shall deal with the members’ personal information securely, and in order to prevent disclosure, will apply the following methods to destroy personal information.
Personal information printed on paper will be shredded in a paper shredder or incinerated.
Personal information stored in the form of electronic files will be deleted using a technical method ensuring that the records cannot be reproduced.
Article 5 Sharing of/supply of collected personal information
The company shall make use of the collected personal information pursuant to Article 2 (Purpose of collection of personal information/purpose of use), and without the user’s prior consent, shall not make use of it in ways exceeding the said purposes and shall not disclose the information to any other third parties as a basic principle. However, the following are the exceptions:
Where there is prior consent by users
Where it is necessary to calculate fees regarding supply of services
Where there has been a breach of use agreement/member service agreements, or a breach of management principles as stipulated on the home page
Where through the use of services, mental/material damage is caused to a third party, and personal information must be disclosed in order to deal with the matter legally
Where it can be determined that it is necessary to do so pursuant to other law/regulations (e.x. where the government institution/investigating authority has made a request, pursuant to the relevant law/regulations)
Where the client/subcontractor/research institution provides for it for the purposes of identifying the individual for statistics, academic research or market research
Where the information is provided to customer centers or other relevant institutions to handle complaints, enquiries (civil matters), etc.
Where the information is provided to a consigned institution for the purposes of event/winning the lottery, etc., and the type of information, purpose, term of use is indicated and permission is obtained from the client (for more information regarding consignment, please look at “customer center information”
Further, the company may share users’ personal information for technology development or in order to provide better services. In this case, the company will, prior to sharing the information, indicate to whom the personal information will be supplied to (institution/group), why the information is needed, until when the information is needed, and how it will be protected/managed, and approval will be requested, and where there is an absence of consent, no additional information will be collected nor shared.
In sending mass advertisements to users that focuses on particular sex/age group etc., the personal information shall not be supplied to the individual/corporation that requested the advertisement, and even when information is required regarding academic research or market research, information will be provided in a way that cannot identify the particular individual.
Article 6 User’s personal information management (reading/correcting/deleting, etc.)
The user may view/adjust any of his personal information as registered on the service site, and may request registration termination. In order to access/adjust any of the personal information, the user may do so by entering ID/password and logging in, and the user may change any of the information except for the ID and name.
Further, if the user has lost his password, he may click on “find password” at the bottom of the log-in page and follow the customer center’s instructions and enter in personal information required for the password retrieval, and receive a temporary password to either an e-mail/SMS, or change the password immediately.
In order to terminate registration, the user may select “membership withdrawal” from “personal information changes page”, and follow the instructions by selected questions, and click “Yes, withdraw my membership”, which will lead to confirmation of self followed by withdrawal.
Users may request termination of registration/use regarding the ID, but this does not necessarily mean restriction of all services and only refers to services that require log-in.
The company, pursuant to the user’s request cannot read/use any of the information that has been terminated/deleted, and follows Article 4 (Personal information retention and use period).
Article 7 Information regarding cookie management
The service saves and retrieves users’ personal information (“cookie”) in order to provide customized service. Cookie refers to the small quantity of information that the HTTP sends the computer browser of the user, and this is often saved in the computer hard disk of the users. After the users accesses the service and logs in to use the member services, they must enable cookie. The service finds out information about the ID in order to provide more efficient service to the users.
Although the cookie identifies a computer of the user, it does not identify the user as a certain individual.
Information that will be saved on cookie will be ID, security access, the servers/websites that the users visited, type of visits and use types, user volume, etc. and this analysis of the cookie will provide for a more convenient service and provide the best services for the users.
Users may select use/non-use of the cookie.
Cookie may be permitted through web browser options, and the user may set it so that whenever the cookie is saved, confirmation is required, and the user may reject saving of cookie.
However, where saving of the cookie is rejected, a part of the services that requires log-in will be restricted.
Article 8 Technological/managerial measures regarding personal information
The company, in processing personal information of the users, uses the following technological measures to prevent loss, theft, disclosure, falsification, damage.
The users’ personal information is exhaustively protected through password.
'The members’ ID and password is only known to that person, and the checking of or changing the personal information of the password is only possible by the direct member. Therefore, you should not share your password to anyone else.
This is especially the case where you have logged in using a shared PC in a public place (company, school, library, internet room, etc.), in order to prevent others from accessing your personal information.
The company makes every effort to ensure that personal information is not disclosed or damaged due to hacking or computer viruses.
To prevent damages being made to personal information, the company constantly backs up its information and uses the most up-to-date vaccine program in order to prevent disclosure/damage, and through the encrypt communication, enables secure personal information transfer. And through the firewall, blocks unauthorized access from outside, and makes effort to have all the technological skills to systemically protect personal information.
Only the Chief Privacy Officer deals with personal information processing, and a separate password is regularly renewed for this purpose as well as providing the officer with consistent education to strengthen personal information processing policy.
Through the in-house personal information exclusive institution, etc., the personal information processing policy and enforcement matters can be checked with the relevant personnel, and where a problem is identified regarding whether there has been compliance, we make efforts to ensure that the problem is rectified instantly. However, where the problem occurred due to the negligence of the user, or due to the problems of the internet, the ID or password was released, the company shall not be liable in any way.
Article 9 Consignment
The Company may consign personal information processing to a professional consignment company for the sake of efficiency. In consigning personal information processing, notice will be given to the users. The protection of personal information, confidentiality agreement regarding personal information, and agreement that clearly stipulates prohibition of disclosing the information to a third party that also sets our clear instructions on division of responsibility will be reserved in either hard copy or electronic copy in consignment agreement.

The company makes the best efforts in order to ensure that you use good information securely. To protect your personal information and deal with complaints related to personal information, the company has a chief privacy officer.
The responsibility of keeping your password to the ID safe lies with the user himself.
The company never asks the user directly for its password, so please be very careful to ensure that your password is not disclosed to a third party.

Article 12 Duty to notify
